Introduction

Picture a new hire on their first day. Someone sits them down in front of the company's internal software, and within ten minutes they look lost. There are tabs inside tabs, buttons with cryptic labels and a "quick guide" that's forty pages long. Everyone around them just shrugs: "You get used to it."

If you're the one responsible for that software, you know it's not fine. Every week of training, every mistake and every frustrated email adds up. You want to fix it, but when you ask big Western UX consultancies for a quote, the number makes your finance team wince.

That's the gap Aufait UX tries to fill. It's a UX design firm in Bengaluru and Kozhikode, India, focused on enterprise apps and dashboards, at $25–$49 per hour with $5,000+ projects, according to Clutch.

The Short Answer: Is Aufait UX Worth It?

Yes, if you have complex enterprise software and want solid UX at Indian rates. Just build some buffer into your timeline, because capacity can be tight.

How I Wrote This Review

A quick disclosure: I sell design services too, and my studio sits at the top of the alternatives table. I've tried to keep that from coloring my view.

I haven't hired Aufait UX. On October 31, 2026, I read its website, a few blog posts and its Clutch reviews, including the less flattering ones. My opinions on the design itself come from how clients describe the work and the case studies Aufait publishes.

Who Is Aufait UX?

Aufait UX was founded in 2018 and has 10–49 people, according to Clutch. Reviewers name Bijith Kunchammed as the person leading their projects. The company has also announced an expansion into North America, which suggests it's growing beyond its home market.

Here's what surprised me: Clutch says half of Aufait's clients are enterprises. That's unusual for a team this size. Named review clients include Oman Air's Sindbad loyalty program, property-tech company IQnext and BaseTwo Capital. Designing a loyalty app for an airline is not a small job, so that tells you something about the trust clients place in them.

Clutch lists Aufait as 100% UX/UI design. It doesn't do development, so you'll need your own engineers or a separate build partner.

The main catch

Reviewers mention schedule slips of one to two weeks and limited resources on some projects. One person rated schedule just 3.5 out of 5. It's not a deal-breaker, but don't plan your launch party the day after their deadline.

A worked example

Imagine a property-tech company with a facilities dashboard of 60 screens. Building managers use it every morning, and they keep calling support because they can't find the energy report.

Instead of redesigning all 60 screens at once, I'd start with a two-week UX audit of the top ten workflows. Then a redesign sprint for just those screens. At Aufait's rates, that's a fraction of what a US firm would charge. Ask for a clear change-control process up front, so new requests don't quietly push the timeline back.

What Do Clients Say?

Reviewers praise responsiveness, flexibility and real UX knowledge. One said Aufait's "design and UX knowledge is on par with the best," which is high praise. Others mention good value and a strong grasp of business goals.

The criticism is worth reading carefully. People mention delays, limited capacity, gaps in domain knowledge (for the Oman Air project) and a wish for more transparency when resources get tight. None of it sounds like bad work. It sounds like a small, in-demand team stretched across big clients.

Is Aufait UX Legit?

Yes. Thirty-one Clutch reviews, named enterprise clients and active hiring all support it.

My Honest Design Opinion

From the case studies and reviews, Aufait's work looks tidy and professional, with a clear focus on dense, data-heavy interfaces. As a designer, I'll say this plainly: making a 60-screen dashboard feel calm is much harder than designing a beautiful landing page. It takes discipline.

My only real concern is people. When a small team serves several enterprise clients, the best designers can get spread thin. Before signing, I'd ask to meet the exact designers who'll work on your project, and ask how many other projects they're juggling.

Pros of Aufait UX

  • Enterprise focus at offshore rates.

  • Pure UX/UI specialists.

  • Strong review volume.

  • Dashboard and data experience.

  • Low entry point of $5,000.

Cons of Aufait UX

  • Schedule slips reported by some clients.

  • Limited capacity on busy projects.

  • Domain learning can take time.

  • No development in-house.

  • No overall rating shown on Clutch.

Who Should Hire Aufait UX?

Aufait UX is a good fit if you're:

  4. "What buffer do you build in for delays?"

  5. "How will you learn our industry quickly?"

  6. "Can you work directly with our developers?"

A Quick Note About Me

I'm Subarno, and I run a small design and no-code studio. Enterprise dashboards aren't my specialty, and Aufait has much deeper experience there. I mostly help smaller businesses with websites, branding and marketing design.

My $1,000/month retainer covers:

  • website design in Figma,

  • website builds in Framer or Webflow,

  • branding for smaller businesses, like logos, colors and brand guides,

  • small website animations and interactions,

  • banners, posters and social media content.

Final Verdict: Is Aufait UX Worth It?

Aufait UX offers serious enterprise UX at rates most Western firms simply can't match. The reviews show real skill and genuine care for users.

Plan for capacity limits, meet your designers before signing and keep a little breathing room in your timeline. Do that, and it's excellent value.
